How to take your business to the next level.
Taking your business to the next level would seem to be a vague title. Depending on your business and the equipment that you are using you will find this article useful and informative. Implementing certain technologies into your already established business could impact your cash flow in a positive way. Let me give you some examples, business owners who attend networking events to drum up new business will arm themselves with business cards. Depending on your products and services, wouldn’t it be great to get a commitment or a sale from a new customer?
Lets face it, attending a networking event with only business cards could actually cost you a potential customer. If you have the attention and ear of a potential customer, wouldn’t it be nice and on time if you could show them a proof source? Gain their interest (perhaps show a quick PowerPoint) possibly close a sale and capture a payment?
At the risk of promoting specific products already on the ,market, carrying a laptop could be cumbersome but having a tablet like device with internet access would be great!. No matter your preference, Android or iOS, business owners can literally take their business, products and point of sale to any networking event. If the need arises to provide a proof source (you need more than a business card) your tablet device will be perfect.
Many banking institutions will allow business owners to deposit checks using their smart phones. The ability to accept checks and process credit cards on your smart phone gives you the ability and the opportunity to increase your cash flow in any place at any time. If someone is interested in your product or service and they are ready to buy now! You want to capture that payment and get a commitment now, not later. Having the right technologies at the right time will allow this. The internet allows most any business owner to run their business 24 four hours a day, seven days a week. If your only interested in running your business eight hours a day five days a week, this may not be for you and if you have competition, you may not be in business long, technology will make your brick and mortar obsolete…soon.
In my experience, their are two devices that I find needful in conducting business any time any where. Since my company is internet based and I perform much of my services via the phone and the internet it only makes dollars and cents (sense) to have a smart phone and a tablet device, okay…my Ipad. There I said it. Although many people will more than likely disagree, when I purchase my Ipad, there was no other device in the market place for me to choose from. There are competing devices headed to market in the next few months, and if they will help you accomplished your task of taking your business mobile ( the next level) get it.
The sad thing about acquiring new technologies is many business owners that have a smart phone use it for making phone calls, sending text messages and email, this is what I call overkill. If you could use existing technology to increase your bottom line would you?
Taking the time to really explore what you already have could save you some money. If you own a laptop (who doesn’t?) and depending on your business, use it to manage your advertising campaigns or your email. The smart phone is excellent for those occasions when your laptop is not accessible, but having a tablet device means I can do much of the same with it that I can on my laptop.
Mobility and flexibility to conduct business anywhere is simply a sign of the times. Understand your existing technology(your smart phone and or tablet device) and how to use it in today’s technology conscience business environment could bridge the gap between capturing new revenue instantly and waiting for a new customer to find you. Take your business to them and capture payments and generate interest in your products and services instantly.
